GL is an abbreviation of goodlayer. It can also be understood as a glass layer. It is a transparent vapor-deposited film that can perform the vapor deposition of silicon and aluminum oxide on PET and ONY to achieve excellent oxygen barrier properties and moisture resistance. The transparent, high-barrier, environmentally friendly film that protects fragrance performance was created by Japan Toppan Printing Co., Ltd. The GL film has excellent barrier properties against oxygen and water vapor, and is suitable for cooking bags. It can be heated by an electronic microwave oven to reduce the package weight. In recent years, with the increasingly severe environmental protection issues in the world, the market for transparent evaporated films to replace PVDC coated films and aluminum foil is expanding year by year.

1. Structure and bag type innovative application

The packaging was developed by Toppan, along with Shiseido. In addition to using GL membranes to achieve barrier properties, 34% of plant-based materials were used throughout the package. The bag-type structure is also innovative. The entire bag can be self-supporting. The left side is provided with a straight and easy-to-tear opening. After tearing the package, the contents can be easily poured out from the small mouth and the packaging bag can realize the function of the "pot".

2, air bars

On the basis of stand-up pouches, an “air stick” is placed on the right side of the bag, making it relatively tough to touch. When the consumer needs to pour out the contents, it is more convenient to hold the air bar.

3, use recycled materials

Absolutely not to see, this packaging bag uses recycled materials, its packaging performance, printing adaptability and new materials have no difference. This is a manifestation of Toppan's environmental philosophy.

4, microwave packaging

The zipper is provided with a wave pattern and is easy to tear; and when microwaves, the steam inside can penetrate out of the package without exploding. When the heat is ripe, the scent of food and soup inside can be perfectly preserved. This product is a very favorite product for Japanese office workers. It depends on the packaging to achieve a high barrier to fragrant freshness and steam.

5. Nestle Coffee Packaging

The packaging was developed for three years and used GL and PE composites instead of paper and aluminum foil for Nestle coffee powder packaging. When the consumer buys this product and needs to pour the coffee powder into the glass jar, the patented valve on the package is pressed onto the bottle mouth, and the coffee powder can be completely poured into the glass jar in one second by a single press. The coffee powder does not come into contact with air, thus ensuring its dryness and aroma.
