New nano-biosensor special materials have been successfully developed

A new type of nanometer biosensor material that can shuttle freely in the human body was recently successfully developed by researchers from East China University of Science and Technology and Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Second Medical University. It provides a more advanced means for cancer screening. At present, this result has applied for a national patent.
The project leader, director of the analysis and testing center of East China University of Science and Technology, Prof. Lan Yibo, introduced that this is a nano-scale material made of organic compounds, one-billionth of a meter in diameter. It can be treated like a syrup. The syringe "flows" into the blood vessels of the human body and acts as a sensor's "nerve." The new biosensors that remotely control these "nerves" are oxygen signals in the body. Normally, the oxygen concentration in normal tissue is about 1% to 2%, and the site of a long lump is slightly higher than 2%. If it is a malignant tumor, this figure is close to 3%. "With this small difference, the sensor can easily perform a tumor survey."
It is reported that the project was jointly funded by the Shanghai Nano Special Fund and the Cross-Century Excellent Talent Fund of the Ministry of Education.
