Nano-flame retardant polypropylene special material technology

The nano-flame retardant polypropylene (PP) special material technology jointly developed by Sinopec Wuhan Petrochemical Plant and Huazhong University of Science and Technology has passed technical appraisal. This technology uses in-situ copolymerization method to cover the surface of nano-Sb2O3 polyacrylate polymer, and then compounded with PP to solve the problem of nano-particle agglomeration, which is conducive to the dispersion of Sb2O3 in the polymer matrix. The obtained nano flame-retardant PP can be used as a PP special material, and can realize the engineering, functionalization and high performance of the PP.
