Laurysen is absolutely thrilled to share some fantastic news! At the recent National Kitchen and Bath Association Ottawa awards ceremony, we walked away with a grand total of six prestigious awards! It seems like our trophy shelf is getting full rather quickly, especially considering we were just awarded the Houzz Best of 2016 for Design and our 20th Consumers Choice Award.
Let's dive into some of the incredible designs that brought us these accolades:
First up, Wael Bakr took home two awards for his stunning Classic/Traditional Bathroom design priced between $25,000 and $39,999. His work not only earned him first place but also the coveted People’s Choice Award for Best Bathroom. This design beautifully blends traditional elegance with modern touches. Notice the cleverly placed storage cabinets next to the vanity and the serene bathing area that offers both natural light and privacy. It's a space that feels both luxurious and practical.
Next, Heather Tardioli claimed the top spot in the Classic/Traditional Kitchens category priced between $40,000 and $59,999. Her kitchen design is nothing short of inspiring, keeping the space bright, fresh, and open while still offering distinct zones for preparation, cooking, and serving. It's a perfect example of how functionality and aesthetics can coexist harmoniously.
Natasha Nash didn't fall short either, winning first place in the Other Rooms in the House category with her breathtaking wine bar design. This space is every sommelier's dream, seamlessly integrating the tasting area into the rest of the home through clever tiling on the sides of the bar.
Elnaz Shahrokhi, one of our newer designers, showcased her contemporary flair with a second-place finish in the Modern/Contemporary Kitchens category priced between $20,000 and $39,999. Her tranquil kitchen design makes excellent use of space, featuring an informal gathering area where guests can lend a hand during meal prep or simply enjoy a snack.
And let's not forget Wael Bakr's third award of the evening, this time for the People’s Choice Award for Best Kitchen. His design is both chic and simple, proving that even a galley kitchen layout can be visually striking.
