Tollgard Design Group is a renowned London-based interior design studio with a global reach. Over more than a decade, they’ve completed over 300 interior design projects, refining their design philosophy into a distinctive approach. In each of their design projects, they seek out the "röda tråden," or the unique red thread, that connects people, places, and buildings. Take a look at their inspiring projects here!
Knightsbridge Penthouse
The client tasked Tollgard Design Group with merging two existing apartments on the third and fourth floors of one of London's most prestigious garden squares. Collaborating closely with Peek Architecture + Design, they transformed the space into a luxurious penthouse featuring five ensuite bedrooms, reception and dining areas, a chef's kitchen, a media room, and two tech-driven terraces offering stunning views of London's skyline. The end result embodies the client's vision to push creative boundaries, experiment with new materials, and exceed expectations.
Danish Summer House
Built as a summer retreat for a British family, the Fanø house showcases a distinctly Scandinavian design aesthetic. The concept of the "red thread" is central to Staffan's design process, acting as a shorthand for the creative essence of each project. By weaving together architectural elements, cultural history, environmental considerations, and the client's personality, the red thread forms a cohesive framework that ties architecture and interiors together, connecting the client with the design.
Beaconsfield Family Home
Home to international creatives and their family, the Beaconsfield family home is a contemporary new-build with open-plan spaces that bring together eclectic collections, natural materials, and opportunities for family life. One of the "red threads" running through the design is functional sculpture, seen in American-made luminaires, a concrete basin, a metal-clad kitchen, a curvaceous master bath, and a striking metal fireplace in the main reception room. Aged barn wood, burnished metal, and natural fabrics soften the architectural lines and connect the interior with the exterior environment.
Uncle
The 45-story residential development tower by Uncle Living, designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, offers residents a vibrant living space with an extensive amenity level on the 45th floor providing 360-degree views across London. Tollgard was brought on board to design the shared spaces and the interiors of the apartments. Drawing inspiration from theater, they incorporated dramatic and surprising elements into the geometric urban landscape.

Technicolor Kensington
Staffan and Monique Tollgård’s latest residential interior design project in Kensington injects a burst of vibrant color into a handsome London home. With a lively family at the core of the design brief, the team drew a "red thread" through the client's collection of art and artifacts, which reflect their international heritage and love for contemporary and traditional Ethiopian art. Each key room in the Technicolor Kensington house takes inspiration from these bold works, drawing color, texture, or tactile forms from their worlds.
Knightsbridge Splendour
This lateral apartment spans adjacent listed buildings in Knightsbridge, showcasing Tollgard Design Group's technical and creative interior design expertise. Their innovative design solution seamlessly combines the spaces, resulting in a living experience that feels effortlessly modern yet uniquely restorative. Attention to detail, skilled craftsmanship, and rare materials ensure this home stands out as unforgettable.
