It is not possible to calibrate the metal tube rotor flowmeter by conventional methods, which is determined by the structural principle of the transmitter. Because the metal tube rotor flowmeter is between the input pressure source and the generated 4-20mA current signal, in addition to the machinery and circuit, there is also a micro-processing chip to calculate the input data. Therefore, the adjustment is different from the conventional method. In fact, the manufacturer has also explained the calibration of the metal tube rotor flowmeter. The series of transmitters produced by our company have the following calibration points: "set range", "re-quantity range", and "fine adjustment". The "set range" operation is mainly through LRV. The digital setting of URV completes the configuration work, while the "re-quantity range" operation requires that the transmitter be connected to a standard pressure source, guided by a series of instructions, the transmitter directly senses the actual pressure and sets the value. The initial and final setting of the range depends directly on the actual pressure input value. However, it should be noted that although the analog output of the transmitter has the correct relationship with the input value used, the digital reading of the process value will show a slightly different value. This can be calibrated by fine-tuning.
Since each part of the metal tube rotameter must be adjusted individually and must be jointly adjusted, the actual calibration can be performed as follows:
First make a 4-20mA fine adjustment to correct the D / A converter inside the transmitter. Since it does not involve sensing components, no external pressure signal source is required.
Do another full fine-tuning to make the 4-20mA, digital reading coincide with the actual pressure signal applied, so a pressure signal source is required.
Finally, the weighting process is repeated, and the analog output 4-20mA is adjusted to the external pressure signal source through adjustment. Its function is exactly the same as that of the zero (Z) and range (R) switches on the transmitter housing.
Some people think that as long as the HART communicator can be used to change the range of the metal tube rotor flowmeter, and the zero point and range can be adjusted without input of the pressure source, this method can not be called calibration, only It is "Set Range". The real calibration requires a standard pressure source to enter the transmitter. Because the standard range is not used and the range adjustment (LRV, URV) is not a calibration, ignoring the input part (input the pressure of the transmitter) to perform output adjustment (transmitter conversion circuit) is not the correct calibration. In addition, the relationship between the pressure and differential pressure detection components and the A / D conversion circuit and current output is not equal. The purpose of calibration is to find out the change relationship of the three.
