Only by stretching the web, can the quality of plate making and printing be guaranteed. There are two main methods of stretching nets: manual stretching and mechanical stretching. Stretching the net by hand is a simple traditional method. Usually suitable for wooden frame. This method is to manually fix the wire mesh on the wooden frame with nails, wooden strips, adhesives and other materials. The tension of the hand-stretched net can generally meet the requirements, but the tension is uneven, the operation is troublesome and time-consuming, and the quality of the stretched net is not easy to guarantee. This method is mostly used in a small amount of printing and occasions where printing accuracy is not required.
The mechanical stretch net is to use mechanical force to make the wire net tight, and use an adhesive to firmly bond it to the net frame. After the adhesive is dried, remove the screen frame and seal the edges with a polyester film single-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tape. In order to prevent the adhesive from dissolving and make the screen printing plate clean and tidy. The net frames of various materials can be stretched by machinery. Mechanical stretch net has the characteristics of uniform tension and short stretch time. Easy to grasp the required tension. Suitable for high-precision plate making.
