It is reported that the four major standards to be introduced will standardize the various problems that arise during the renovation process. Among them, the quality of decoration of hardcover rooms and ordinary home decoration will be regulated by the "Quality Acceptance Standard for Residential Interior Decoration Projects" and "Quality Acceptance Standard for Family Room Decorations 2013"; "Regulations on the Management of Home Furnishing Industry" will increase maliciously for home improvement companies. Issues such as items and environmental testing are not included in the scope of supervision; and the “Guidelines for the Design of Residential Wiring” will ensure that home wiring is safe, scientific and reasonable.

Decoration rights will be based on evidence

"Infringement and rights defending cases arising from renovations have shown an upward trend in recent years. In such disputes, consumers will also lack evidence of rights protection and lack of industry standards." Lawyer Cui Lijun of Yiyuan Law Firm believes that the introduction of industry standards can provide a basis for consumers to defend their rights.
