On November 11th, the key project of the provincial science and technology plan undertaken by Fujian Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, "the detection, migration and risk assessment of melamine in food contact materials and the study of process control" passed the acceptance. The project has developed a number of methods for detecting the migration of melamine and its derivatives in food contact materials, which provides effective self-control means for the product quality of production enterprises, and also provides advanced detection technology for relevant regulatory departments and inspection agencies. Fujian Province is a major province in the production and export of food-contact products. There are only more than 100 melamine product manufacturers, with an annual export volume of 150 million US dollars, and the technology application prospects are broad.
