How to make the Kongming Lantern in the Mid-Autumn Festival The Kongming Lantern is also called the Skylight. It is said that it was invented by Zhuge Kongming (Zhuge Liang) of the Three Kingdoms. At that time, Zhuge Kongming was trapped in Pingyang by Sima Yi and could not send troops out of the city for help. Kong Ming calculated the wind direction, made a paper lantern that would float, and tied the message of asking for help. The consequences were out of danger, so later the lantern was called Kongming Lantern. Another way of saying this is that the shape of the lantern is like the hat of Zhuge Kongming, hence the name.

Production Method:
1. Stack three large thin papers up and down, as shown in the figure:
