Abstract: Using phenyltriethoxysilane (PTES) and ethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) as precursors, phenyl-modified SiO2 membrane materials were prepared by sol-gel method. Scanning electron microscope, N2 gas adsorption, video optical contact angle measuring instrument, thermogravimetric analysis and infrared spectroscopy were used to characterize the pore structure and hydrophobic performance of the membrane. Gas permeability and separation performance. The results show that as the amount of PTES added increases, the hydrophobicity of the membrane material gradually increases. When the molar ratio of PTES / TEOS and H2O / TEOS reaches 0.6 and 9.6, respectively, the contact angle of the membrane material to water reaches 115 ° ± 0.5 °, still maintaining a good micropore structure, with a pore volume of 0.17 cm3 / g and a pore size of 0.4 to 0.5 nm. The transport of SiO2 film after modification of H2 gas at room temperature follows both the surface diffusion mechanism that occurs in micropores and the Knudsen diffusion mechanism that occurs in larger pores or microdefects. The H2 gas permeability of the membrane material reached 1.49 × 10 -6 mol / (m2 · Pa · s), and the ideal separation coefficients of H2 / CO2 and H2 / SF6 reached 4.64 and 365.59, respectively.
