Krones launches inner nested tube labeler

KRonES AG has expanded its range of labeling machines with the new Sleevematic DS (Direct Sleeving) and Sleevematic DS Inline labelers.

The two new labelers cater to the needs of beverage companies for unique packaging.

As a result, customers with bushing application requirements can choose one of the two types of applications, AF (Applicator Force Pressure Smear) and DS (Direct Sleeving Direct Sleeve). In addition, there is an in-line DS labeling machine that can be equipped with one or two cutting devices for handling shrink sleeves.

On the in-line model, the sleeve is directly transported: the sleeve is pulled through the entire container and fixed to the conveyor belt by means of a lowering device. Under the action of the lowering device and driven brush, the position of the sleeve is flush with the container.

No vacuum device required

An expansion shaft opens the sleeve to ensure more accurate cutting. Therefore, the Sleevematic labeler neither requires a vacuum to open the sleeve nor an additional transfer station. In the cutting device, the sleeve can be accurately cut to a selected length by several tools controlled by the servo system. Of course, it needs to be set first. After the sleeve is transferred to the bottle, it is shrunk to a suitable size in the steam line.

Reduce cleaning work

The casing technology brings many benefits to the factory: other labelers must be cleaned after every shift, but this model does not have to. Because no paste is required, no heat glue is needed. The shrink sleeve can also serve as a sealing against tearing. In addition, Sleevematic
