How asphalt mixes are mixed in track and field venues

Asphalt mixture must be produced in a heating device and cannot be made through manual or cold mixing. This ensures proper bonding between the asphalt binder and aggregate, resulting in a high-quality pavement material.
Asphalt Mixture

When setting up an asphalt mixing plant, several key requirements should be considered:

  1. The location should have good access for transporting raw materials, ensuring that the site is dry, well-drained, and easy to handle incoming materials.
  2. Sufficient power, water, and heat supply must be available to support continuous operations.
  3. Asphalt storage should be done in labeled, sealed tanks to prevent contamination and maintain quality.
  4. Mineral aggregates—such as crushed stone, sand, and fines—should be stored on a hard surface and kept separate to avoid cross-contamination. Mineral powders must also be protected from moisture and rain.

Hot mixing is essential for producing asphalt mixtures. There are two main types of mixers: intermittent and continuous. Continuous mixers should have automated feeding systems that adjust based on the design mix, monitor moisture levels in the aggregates, and control the amount of asphalt added. Intermittent mixers, on the other hand, need automatic recording devices to track important parameters like asphalt quantity, aggregate amounts, and mixing temperature during each batch.

Adjusting the mixing time is crucial for achieving optimal results. Trial mixes are typically conducted to determine the right duration so that the asphalt fully coats the aggregates. For standard batch mixers, the mixing time per batch should be between 30 to 50 seconds, with at least 5 seconds of dry mixing before adding asphalt. The choice of vibrating screen mesh for secondary screening of hot aggregates should be based on the desired gradation, and the installation angle should consider the material's flowability and the vibration capacity of the machine.

A well-mixed asphalt mixture should be uniform, without any uncoated particles, clumping, or segregation of coarse and fine materials. Additionally, the final mixture temperature must meet national standards to ensure proper compaction and long-term performance on the road.

Chainsaw

The chainsaw is a hand-held wood cutting machine which is powered by gasoline engine and cutting parts. In forestry production, it is widely used in logging, shooting, lumber and other operations. Development trend to use new materials, new technology, new structure, to further reduce the weight of the chainsaw; Reduce noise and vibration and reduce air pollution to improve operating conditions; Add safety protection device to improve the reliability and safety
