The best solution is to wrap the base or concrete structure with the plastic surface, as shown in the diagram below.

What is a movable plastic cover?
Track and field facilities often have numerous underground structures such as inspection wells for water supply, drainage, electricity, and communications. These typically come with cast iron manhole covers. However, because these covers are on the ground, they are frequently stepped on, which can lead to accidents. Additionally, their shapes and colors vary, making them look unattractive. To address this, all inspection well covers in plastic track and field areas should be replaced with uniform-sized plastic covers. This not only enhances safety for athletes but also improves the overall aesthetics of the facility.
The thickness of the plastic cover is usually between 9-10mm. Before installation, it's essential to check the height of each well cover. The alignment must be precise, ideally matching the level of the asphalt concrete base layer. This ensures a smooth and even surface across the entire track field, reducing the risk of tripping or uneven wear.
