Mr. Robert A. Burns of Illinois, USA observed the shortcomings of the traditional cleaning process. After four years of intensive research, he developed a new method for online cleaning of the orifice flowmeter body. The Burns online cleaning method uses a specially developed cleaning flange that can enter the flow meter body, and a high-pressure spray gun is installed on the flange.
