It is understood that the most suitable instrument for monitoring radiation intensity is the solar radiation intensity meter used to measure the combined radiation of the sun and the sky on the horizontal plane. There are two types used to measure the radiation of simulated solar sources, all of which work by thermocouples. The first type is Moor Koczynski solar radiation intensity meter, which is composed of 14 constantan-manganese copper strips (10mm * 1mm * 0.005mm), whose thermal break is located on a plane, and uses a low heat transfer rate The black body constitutes a horizontal plane. The "cold" end is bent down and has a good thermal connection with a copper sheet with a large heat capacity. The sensitive area is covered with two concentric glass hemispheres.
The other is the Epare solar radiation intensity meter, which consists of two concentric rings of silver foil with a thickness of 0.25mm. The inner ring is painted black (to absorb almost all radiation), and the outer ring is painted white (to reflect Visible light and infrared light). The "hot" and "cold" ends are thermally connected to the ring, and the ring is enclosed in a 76mm diameter glass bubble filled with dry air. The two instruments described above are not easily affected by the infrared radiation emitted by the sample and the cabinet.
