Europe develops new dairy packaging materials that are biodegradable

[China Packaging Network News] Energy conservation and environmental protection, green ecology is the theme of the era, but also deeply rooted, the company is also following this transformation and upgrading of the characteristics of a recently developed biodegradable dairy packaging materials are closely following the project, has received great attention.

Since the development of biodegradable milk bottles in Europe, this project has been receiving much attention. Recently, the European Commission allocated 1 million euros for the project and appointed the Spanish Plastics Technology Research Association to lead the other eight European R&D teams to complete this challenging project.

The project aims to develop a biodegradable material that can be applied to dairy products and can be heat-treated.

Europe is the world's largest dairy packaging consumer market. However, of the nearly 2 million tons of HDPE milk bottles consumed each year, only 10-15% of the waste plastic bottles can be recycled. Therefore, the development of renewable plastic containers is of crucial importance to the European recycling industry.

The task of this project at this stage is to develop multi-layer and single-molecule plastic bottles and other dairy plastic packaging bags through cooperation and exchanges with eight scientific research institutions in Europe, and to biodegrade the packaging of such dairy products through special processes. The surplus value of plastic can be fully utilized.

The research and development of new packaging materials technology is to promote the green and low-pollution market phenomenon. It is a measure to meet the social atmosphere. This project in Europe is a pioneer of modern technology and a goal that the packaging market needs to pay attention to in the future.
