2. Printing
Use a new printing plate or RIP curve, and use the same printing conditions, printing characteristics standard, preferably the entire measurement standard. Print according to the same L * a * b * value (or density value) as the last recorded calibration print. Pay attention to uniformity and gray balance.
When adjusting the machine, measure the HR, SC and HC values ​​to make sure that the printing press meets the NPDC curve. If possible, also measure the P2P standard, or draw out columns 4 and 5 on an empty G7 drawing. These curves should now be almost identical to the target curve. If not, adjust the solid density, or print a few more sheets to let the press warm up.
Check other parameters, such as gray balance, uniformity, etc., the data is within the control, and then start the machine at high speed to the normal printing speed, check the measured values ​​to see if it is good in the end. Select at least two or more sheets from the scene and dry naturally. If possible, under the same conditions, perform two or more press operations, select the best printed sheet from each print, and prepare for subsequent work averaging.
3. Establish ICC (optional)
Using a spectrophotometer, measure the selected characteristic data of each printed sheet, and then create an ICC file of the printing press from the average data. If possible, store the original measured spectral data instead of CIEL * a * b * (D50) data. The improved ICC file can reduce the problem of metamerism caused by non-standard light source or the change of two light sources.
