Weekends are the best time to take a break, but sometimes it's hard to shake off the feeling of being stuck in a routine. After a long weekend, my body felt heavy and my face looked dull. I didn’t want to go back to work with such a tired look. So, during my lunch break, I decided to give my skin a quick and simple massage to refresh it and bring some life back.
This little routine helped me feel more awake and confident. It only took a few minutes, but it made a big difference. I wanted to share these steps so you can try them too.
Massage Steps:
Step 1: Relieve Tension in the Forehead
If you've been working non-stop for days, it's normal to have tight brows. Use your fingertips to gently lift and push from the middle of your forehead towards the temples. Then, use your index fingers to press and smooth out the forehead. Finally, press the temples with your thumbs to relax and ease tension. This helps reduce stress and gives your face a fresher look.
Step 2: Soothe the Eyes
Sitting in front of a computer all day can make your eyes feel tired and dull. Start by pressing your temples with your thumbs, then use the inner side of your index fingers to gently glide from the brow down to the lower eyelid. Repeat this motion a few times. For the lower lid, move from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner to relieve eye strain and brighten the under-eye area.
Step 3: Avoid a Puffy Face
After a holiday, your body clock might be off, and lack of sleep can leave your skin looking puffy and dull. To restore your skin’s glow, spray a hydrating mist on your face, then gently press your palms against your cheeks to help the moisture absorb. Finish with a moisturizer to lock in hydration. Well-moisturized skin looks healthier, smoother, and more radiant.
Taking a few minutes to care for your skin can make a huge difference. Even a short massage during lunch or after work can help you feel more refreshed and ready for the day. Give it a try and see how it makes you feel!
