Swiss watchmaker Jeanrichard has partnered with contemporary street artist Gully for a unique collaboration. The exhibition titled *“Philosophy of Artâ€* will open at the Opera Gallery in Paris, France, on September 19. This event showcases Gully’s latest artistic creations and serves as a platform to unveil a new limited edition series of watches called *“Graphiscope.â€* Inspired by Gully’s bold style and signature aesthetic, the three distinct collections feature only 25 pieces each, making them highly exclusive.
Bruno Grande, General Manager of Jeanrichard, shared that Gully is a creative and resourceful pioneer, much like the 17th-century artist Daniel Shangvisha. “His fearless spirit and innovative approach have deeply influenced the design of the Graphiscope collection,†he said. The collaboration began when Gully accidentally splattered paint onto a Terrascope Watch during the creation of a new oil painting, leading to a unique fusion of art and horology. That moment sparked the idea for the *Graphiscope* series, blending street art with high-end craftsmanship.
The Graphiscope collection includes three limited edition Chavès Terrascope watches, each featuring a unique gemstone signature. These pieces will be on display from September 19 to October 11, 2014, at the Paris Opera Gallery. Gully expressed his admiration for the great masters of art, stating, “I wanted to pay tribute to those who inspired me, especially my mentors. Their influence is woven into my work.†He also emphasized the connection between time and art, saying, “For Jeanrichard, time is the philosophy of life. My art is my philosophy, and together they create a fusion of street art and time.â€
During the exhibition, a treasure hunt will take place in Paris on September 20, where lucky participants can find a *Graphiscope* timepiece or a piece of Gully’s artwork. Registration is open via the official websites of Jeanrichard, Gully, and the Opera Gallery starting September 10.
Gully, born in 1977, is a prominent figure in the world of street art. Known for his use of aerosol and public engagement, his work draws inspiration from *Neoclassicism*, a movement linked to conceptual art of the 1970s and 1980s. He often reinterprets classic masterpieces with a humorous twist, paying homage to artists like Canaletto, Fernand Léger, Andy Warhol, and Jean-Michel Basquiat. His work reflects both reverence and a playful approach, capturing the essence of art through a modern lens.

In comparison, stainless steel cutlery is known for its strength and durability. It is resistant to bending, breaking, and corrosion, making it a popular choice for everyday use. Stainless steel cutlery can withstand heavy use and last for a long time with proper care.
Ceramic cutlery, on the other hand, is known for its hardness and sharpness. It is highly resistant to wear and tear, making it durable and long-lasting. Ceramic cutlery is also less prone to staining and does not retain odors or flavors from food.
Overall, PS cutlery is not as durable as stainless steel or ceramic cutlery. It is more suitable for single-use or occasional use situations, such as outdoor picnics or fast-food restaurants.
