It seems that humidification is not required, but it is actually wrong! Because the relative humidity is inseparable from the ambient temperature. In the past, there was no heating in the south of the Yellow River in winter, so the indoor temperature was lower than that of paper (generally 6 ° C to 8 ° C). At this time, the indoor relative humidity had reached 50% to 60% RH, so the air could not feel dry; With the extensive use of air-conditioning systems in recent years, the temperature in factory buildings and office buildings has greatly increased, generally reaching 22 ° C or more. At this time, the relative humidity of the same air has dropped to 15% -20% RH. It's dry. Therefore, today when the indoor temperature rises, the southern region also needs humidification.

Air humidity and temperature are both important factors in air conditioning. All substances should hold enough water. In a too dry environment, air will absorb moisture from the substance. In the production process of the printing industry, it is especially necessary to ensure sufficient humidity:

Eliminate static electricity

Paper is prone to static electricity. Workers often have a sense of electric shock and are accompanied by electrostatic thugs, especially in the dry season of autumn and winter. The strength of static electricity has an inseparable relationship with the ambient humidity. Static electricity is most active at 30% relative humidity. The lower the humidity, the more active the static electricity. As the humidity increases, it gradually weakens, and it basically disappears under a humidity environment of more than 50%.

Prevent expansion and contraction

Due to the different types of paper, the expansion and contraction rates are different. If the paper and the environment cannot reach the humidity balance, it will cause the following conditions: the paper absorbs water and expands, and loses water and shrinks. When the deformation is serious, the single-color printing machine cannot overprint, and the multi-color printing will also appear one color to one color successively elongated phenomenon, or the dragging part is fanned "swing angle", causing the overprint or the front and back sides to be inaccurate due to expansion and contraction, or The printed paper has different expansion and contraction, which brings a lot of trouble to the next processing procedure.

Avoid wrinkling

The cause of wrinkling of the paper is due to the phenomenon of "lotus edge" or "tight edge", which prevents the paper from stretching smoothly and wrinkles during printing. This phenomenon will cause a lot of waste in the printer.

Paper dust

The paper powder contained in the paper and the dust contained in the air are flying everywhere in the dry room, which has different degrees of influence on the quality of the printed matter. When the indoor humidity exceeds 50%, various dust fly flocs absorb water and become heavy.
