MacDermidAutotype Antimicrobial Film

A new type of hard coating film covering printing patterns produced by MacDermid Autotype Autotex AM is the world's first developed and manufactured film and coating with high performance due to its anti-microbial properties and resistance to scratching. The performance of cleaning resistance has been selected by the Danish Nursing Technology Agency for the key components of the new epidemic protection alarm system control panel.

The product is fully adjustable and can record very short episodes of time without disturbing the medical staff and storing monitoring reports for each patient. It is easy to clean and wipe, designed for reuse in hospitals and homes. The company's technical manager who produces this system said that the key to developing an alert system is to reduce the serious threat of bacteria in certain environments as much as possible, and to use this product in these places. In addition, we need front-molded control panels that can withstand daily washing and regular cleaning, and therefore require a special material with unique properties.

The control panel used was specially printed and injection molded. The company that manufactured the panels used the British McDermi dAutotype to produce a polyester film with a hard coat of Autotex AM with a cover film printed on it. This membrane, which is produced with the use of microbiological technology, has both excellent durability and excellent anti-microbial properties. The role of this anti-microbial technology is through the infiltration of microbial cell walls and contact with the material surface, so that they lose the function of cells and cannot grow or regenerate. This technology is used in the production of Autotex's textured hardcoats, which form an evenly distributed coating of anti-microbial agents on the entire surface of the diaphragm and will not be washed or worn out. As a result, the Autotex AM diaphragm was used to protect the siren. After extensive experiments, it was confirmed that it can inhibit the growth of many kinds of bacteria.

In addition to its anti-microbial properties, Autotex AM's specially formulated exterior hard coatings are scratch-resistant, abrasion-resistant, corrosion free from common solvents and chemicals, and can withstand daily use and intense flushing. The diaphragm is easily reverse printed, the print image has a high resolution, is easy to produce, has long-term flexibility and excellent ink attachment fastness, making it suitable for use in brittle compression bumps or control panel areas. According to users, these characteristics make the Autotex AM film ideal for use as a printed graphic film for alarm system control panels.
