Moisture content is an important factor affecting the processing technology, product appearance and product characteristics of resins such as polyamide (PA) and polycarbonate (PC). In the injection molding process, if plastic particles with high moisture content are used for production, it will not only affect the processing and product quality of the product, but also increase the scrap rate of the product and ultimately affect the quality of the finished product, such as: surface cracking, reflective, And the mechanical properties such as impact resistance and tensile strength are reduced. 1. The traditional method of testing moisture:

The traditional detection of plastic moisture generally uses an oven. This method is not only cumbersome to operate, long in time, and low in efficiency, but more importantly, it is not suitable for the production guidance of the assembly line. The Karl Fischer titration method requires not only a well-equipped laboratory and well-trained operators, but the reagents required for the experiment are long-term consumables, which means a greater cost for the company. What is more critical is that the reagents are toxic, and it is necessary to train, guide and equip the operating laboratory personnel with protective measures (currently equipped with a very small number of domestic enterprises).

2.1. Working principle of the instrument:

2.3. How to use SFY-100 Plastic Moisture Analyzer:

The product can be connected to a printer and a computer. The instrument operation interface has a zero-setting key, a display key, a calibration key, and a test key. Put the tripod and the sample tray into the fixed position of the instrument, and then turn on the instrument, the instrument automatically returns to zero, then spread the sample evenly in the sample tray, press the test button, the instrument automatically starts heating work. For the moisture test of the entire powder industry, the entire process takes only 2-4 minutes.

3. Below, take the application of the determination of the moisture content of polyamide 6 (PA6) and copolyester (PETG) plastic particles as an example.

In the experiment, in order to verify the accuracy of the results of Shenzhen Guanya SFY-100 plastic moisture analyzer, the moisture content of PA6 and PETG with three different moisture contents were measured, and the results were compared with the Karl Fischer titration method and The oven was compared.

3.2 Use effect:

Through experiments, it was found that the high reproducibility measurement results of the three samples with different moisture contents measured by SFY-100 are very close to the results of Karl Fischer titration and oven (as shown in the table in Figures 1 and 2)
