Recycling glass jars built into a village

According to foreign media reports, an old lady named Tresa Prisbrey in the United States spent 25 years building a village from recycled glass bottles. Between 1956 and 1982, Priestly had been building his own "glass jar village." At the beginning, her goal was simply to build a house from the 17,000 glass bottles she had collected. In the end, she completed 13 complete buildings. These include sidewalks, churches and wishing wells. Most of these building materials for Prisborough are collected from local waste bins.

Although Prismble did not regard himself as an artist, every visitor to the village was deeply impressed by her creativity.

When the sun shines through the walls made of glass bottles, it reflects the vibrant colors. Walking on the sidewalks seems to bring tourists back to the 1960s. Today, only seven buildings remain as they are. In 1979, “Square Village” was listed as an official landmark in Simi Valley, California; in 1981, “Glass Bottle Village” was listed as a historic landmark in California. The "Bottle Village" attracts tourists from all over the world to visit here.

Although Prismble never thought of himself as an artist, she did do a great job. The life of Priestbrey was very difficult, but she found her own pleasure and the beauty she could appreciate from the items she had discarded.
