The use of letter typesetting annotations has a lot to do with the size of the layout of the dictionary. In particular, the height of the layout should be a little bit longer than the width of the layout so that shading will appear from the side after binding. An ideal letter sticker should appear on the side of the dictionary for easy reference, but today's typesetting software cannot solve this problem, but it can be specially printed at the time of printing.

3 Insufficient typesetting and solution of "New Age English-Chinese Dictionary"

Founder's system has always had the problem of mismatching Chinese and English fonts of the same font size. This problem has still not been solved satisfactorily. The same font size and English must be significantly smaller than Chinese. Therefore, in order to match Chinese and English as much as possible, this dictionary is used in Chinese. 6th body, while English uses a small 5th body method. This way, the effect of typesetting is a match. However, if you encounter Chinese or English continuously for more than two lines 6, there will be a small Chinese line spacing and an English line spacing. In a large case, when this problem occurs, it is usually necessary to add the “HJ” line spacing in the right place to solve the problem by reducing or increasing the line spacing.
Followed by illustrations. First of all, due to space limitations, this dictionary only uses nearly 1,000 illustrations. The illustrations supplement and extend the explanations. Some places where illustrations are needed are not illustrated. In addition, the illustrations do not indicate Chinese or English descriptions. The reader's understanding of the term makes it difficult. In order not to destroy the integrity of the picture, the illustrations and the special information of the entries used in this dictionary sometimes do not correspond. The use of illustrations is more to enable readers to intuitively understand the contents of the entries, but the information specified in the entries is sometimes only part of the illustrations, and the illustrations used this time are not based on the content of the entries. Mark out specific parts in Chinese or English, which is also a regrettable place in illustration typesetting.
