Causes and Solutions of Black and White Attacks with Shadow Failure

Recently, the documents printed by Xiao Cai's black-and-white laser printer have ghost images (see figure), which greatly affect the appearance and reading of the documents. Why is this? How to solve it?

First, the cause of ghosting

The principle of black-and-white laser printer imaging is that the carbon powder adhered to the printing paper is heated and pressurized by the heating element, so that the carbon powder adheres tightly to the printing paper. If the printed document appears ghosting, the problem may lie in three aspects. One is the quality of the paper used; the second is the quality of the toner in the toner cartridge; and the third is the failure of the laser printer's heating assembly.

Second, the solution

To solve the above three problems, we should first re-print paper with better quality to see if there is ghosting. If ghosting still occurs, make sure that the toner in the toner cartridge is genuine and genuine. If you are using high-quality printing paper and genuine toner, ghosting still occurs. The reason is that the surface of the laser printer's heating element is damaged, and the toner gets on the heating element, causing ghosting. When a hardware failure occurs, the printer needs to be repaired.

Third, the cause of the fault

Why is the surface of the heating element of a laser printer damaged? There are three main reasons:

1. Filling toner

Some filling toners have a large gap with the original toner in terms of particle size, hardness, melting point, etc. It is very easy to cause damage to the printer heating assembly.

2. Paper problem

In order to save paper, many users will print again using already used paper. When using these papers again, forgetting to remove the staples from the paper or not separating the stapled paper together, these staples can easily damage the heating components of the printer. Or some label paper, sulfuric acid paper, etc. are used in printing, and such papers also easily damage the surface of the heating element.

3. Paper jam problem

Paper jams are frequently encountered printing problems with laser printers. When clearing jammed paper, the correct operation is to remove the printer cartridge first, and then remove the jammed paper. Otherwise, the toner cartridge is easily damaged under the hard condition.

Fourth, preventive measures

Since printing paper is usually the culprit of damage to the heating element, you should use high-quality printing paper. Note that the printing paper cannot carry metal hard objects. Do not violently remove jammed paper, and remove the print cartridge before removing the paper.
