A "Three Elements" to Improve the Quality of Corrugated Paperboard
Want to produce high-quality corrugated cardboard must have a comprehensive understanding of the cardboard production equipment, only to master the principles of the equipment in order to get sick in the event of a failure.
Under normal circumstances, a complete corrugated cardboard production line is transferred from the factory to the carton factory after installation and commissioning. It usually has a trial run period of about 3 to 5 months, that is, it is familiar with the learning period. The maintenance of the equipment during this period will determine the future operation of the equipment. I think that the equipment also has a running-in period, just like the new car we bought. During the run-in period, we must go to the 4S store to perform maintenance by professionals according to the conditions specified by the manufacturer. The replacement must be replaced and replaced on time so as to ensure Normal use, thereby increasing the service life and reducing the chance of accidents. A person who is familiar with and unfamiliar with the equipment manages the same equipment. Their chances of major failures are not the same. Equipment maintenance costs are also very different.
Therefore, the production of corrugated cardboard must pay attention to its "three elements", both "steam temperature gate strength / adhesive", the organic combination of the three can produce high-quality corrugated cardboard.
(a) steam temperature
We usually say that the equipment needs a saturated steam pressure of 10Kg~12Kg/cm2 in the workshop. It is mainly required that the working temperature should reach about 180°C in order to increase the speed and produce qualified cardboard. Nowadays, there is often a misunderstanding in the carton factory that is newly equipped with equipment. That is, if the pressure of the workshop meets the specified requirements, it is considered that it meets the production conditions and can be produced at high speed. If the corrugated board is unqualified, it is considered to be a problem with the equipment. This is incorrect. We all know that we need to provide saturated steam. The temperature and pressure of saturated steam have a corresponding relationship. If the pressure is not saturated, the temperature will not reach the specified requirements, and the adhesive cannot be gelatinized within the specified time. Corrugated board will inevitably appear quality. problem.
Taking Yantai Xinda as an example, we encountered this situation last year when a user asked us to send someone to solve the problem of full opening and poor adhesion of cardboard. At the time, our equipment was installed and commissioned and operated for about 3 months or so. The user suddenly sent a hard-coded fax to say that all the paperboards produced had been sent back by the user. They were asked to send someone to solve the problem immediately, otherwise we would have to pay for all the losses. After the fax, we dispatched technical and after-sales maintenance personnel to drove to the user's office that evening and went directly to the workshop. After observing the field production, we found no problem with the adhesive viscosity, the amount of glue, etc. The drainage system and steam pressure were also No problem, all meet the production conditions. Later, it was detected that the temperature of the corrugating roll was only about 100°C. At that time, we suspected that the boiler piping was full of hot water and no steam in the equipment. Finally, we checked with the responsible comrade of the other plant and found it in the boiler room to prevent burning of the drying oven. Too much water was added in violation of the operating procedures, so that there was no space in the boiler to store the steam, but the water was pushed into the pipeline of the equipment. The comrades in charge immediately ordered the boiler workers to leave the financial checkout the following morning. The boiler was re-fired the next day, and the temperature reached 176°C. No problems occurred in the production of cardboard.
With the gradual rise of industrial parks and environmental protection requirements, there are more and more carton factories supplying steam to thermal power plants. They provide supersaturated steam. At this time, it is necessary to consider how much the temperature has reached and the pressure cannot be referenced.
(B) Adhesives
This is a key element in the production of high-quality cardboard. Most of the current market is the production of adhesives using collagen oximes in two steps. The adhesive must be manufactured in strict accordance with the formula. The mixing must be uniform and not too thick. Otherwise, the fluidity is not good, and the uneven adhesion of the adhesive leads to foaming, opening of the adhesive, etc. The adhesive is too thin. Although the fluidity is good, the viscosity will decrease, and the drying time will increase. As for the current addition of additives to popular adhesives, we believe that it is not possible to do the same thing. It should be handled according to the accuracy of the paper, the speed, and the accuracy of the equipment itself. At the same time, the cost must be considered. Otherwise, it would be counterproductive.
(c) Tension
Tension is mainly used to adjust the tension of the brake (manual/pneumatic/electromagnetic) of the bracket to adjust the tension of the paper so as to adjust the leveling of the paper and reduce the defects such as cardboard folding, warpage, and high and low defects. The larger the paper roll, the tighter the brake requirements; the smaller the paper roll, the more demanding the brakes are, and they must be adjusted as the vehicle speed changes. It is advisable to use a manual brake for a production line with a vehicle speed of 100m/min or less. The vehicle speed exceeds 100m/min. Air brakes or electromagnetic brakes are recommended.
