In this new bill, the drone products that ordinary consumers can buy have a certain relaxation in flight management. To put it simply, outside the no-fly zone, ordinary aerial drones can basically fly around.

This new bill classifies drones by weight and speed.

● Mini drone: weighing less than 250 grams, flying height not exceeding 50 meters, flying speed not exceeding 40 km/h

● Light drone: weight less than 4 kg, take-off weight less than 7 kg, flight speed not exceeding 100 km / h

In addition, there are small, medium and large drone categories weighing from 15 kg to 150 kg.

The above two types of drones can cover almost all drone products for general consumers and professional users. In the case of Dajiang, which has the highest market share, the consumer products Spark Xiao, Mavic, and Phantom elves weigh between 300 grams and 1.4 kilograms, and the professional product Inspire has a maximum takeoff weight of less than 4 kilograms. The bill stipulates for users of drones that, except for micro-UAVs, other drones must be filed on the real-name website published by the Civil Aviation Administration in May last year.

However, it is important to pay special attention to the fact that in the conventional no-flyer no-fly zone regulations, the height limit is not reported, and the height of the flight is not limited in theory. However, in the new bill, it is stipulated that the flying height of the micro drone should not exceed 50 meters, and the flying speed of the drone should not exceed 150 meters. This height limit is somewhat demanding. For example, some enthusiasts like to use drones to shoot high-rise buildings, but high-rise buildings such as Shanghai Lujiazui, which are allowed to fly, are more than 400 meters high. The new bill theoretically limits such shooting.

In other words, in the future, if you buy a drone that is allowed to be sold in the market, you should spend a little time on the real-name website. After that, as long as it updates the system, it can take off normally outside the no-fly zone, and take a photo and video to listen to it. As for the height limit, the general flight does not have to be too painstaking. After all, the drone height is more than 50 meters and it is difficult to see it with the naked eye.

In addition to consumers who have already purchased drones, this is also good news for drone manufacturers.
