BASF launches new adhesives

BASF recently introduced a new adhesive for the Acrodur series. This product is highly sensitive to environmental and safety characteristics, and has good adhesive properties, providing potential space for user application innovation.

It is reported that the new product is water-based formaldehyde-free cross-linked acrylic, high density, can be used to produce durable plastic polymers. The acrylate-based product provides a new class of products in the eco-friendly adhesive field, which kneads the working properties of thermoplastics and the excellent durability and load carrying capacity of thermosetting polymers. And it is a one-component aqueous system that can be cured by heat. The only by-product of the curing reaction is water, which does not produce phenol formaldehyde.

Another feature of the product is its cost savings. Its processing is very simple and can be applied to almost any substrate using conventional techniques without the need to adopt costly special measures to meet the standards for the production site of sanitary products.
