Japan's new type of fruit fresh paper safety

At the Kochi Prefectural Paper Testing Ground in Japan, we recently invented a preservative paper that maintains the freshness of tomatoes and fruit after picking, which is highly safe.
The cling paper is activated carbon in the papermaking process. The activated carbon particles are fixed with phosphoric acid and potassium iodate, which can make the ethylene gas released from the fruit inert and control the ripening of the fruit. When used as a fruit wrapper or on the inside of a cardboard box, a greater freshness can be achieved. This plastic wrap, 15 x 15 centimeters in weight and 1 gram, absorbs 2 liters of ethylene. At the time of storage, 1 kg of banana produced 0.7 ml of ethylene around it, 1 kg of melon produced 0.85 ml, and 1 kg of tomato produced 0.96 ml. The plastic wrap has a significant effect on the absorption of ethylene during transportation and storage of the fruit, which is nearly 10 times higher than that of the plastic wrap absorbing ethylene with potassium permanganate and potassium bromate.
